Hello and Happy New Year! It is a new year, and therefore, time to set some new goals for ourselves. To be honest, I can’t remember what my New Year’s resolutions were last year, but it was probably something about exercise and studying. I exercised only a little bit this year, but I’m still satisfied with my overall fitness. I didn’t study all that much either, but I am still happy because in December of last year, I took the JLPT N3 (Japanese language proficiency test level 3). I won’t see my results until February, but I have a good feeling about it. I’m pretty sure I passed.
This Year’s New Year’s resolutions are going to be similar. I want to renew my gym member ship and go at least once a week, maybe even three times a week. As far as studying, I want to take more initiative in starting Japanese conversations with the people around me. I almost always speak in English, because most Japanese people around me can speak English well, and even when I do try to speak Japanese with them, I revert to speaking English pretty quickly.
So in short, my New Year’s Resolutions are to go to the gym once a weak and speak Japanese more.
What are your New Year’s resolutions?
