As you are probably aware, Sam, Michael, and I went to Kuala Lumpur during the first week of September. It was an amazing trip, and so much fun! It’s hard to pick a favorite activity, but I really enjoyed going to all the mosques. Malaysia is primarily an Islamic country, so there are many beautiful mosques for tourists and Muslims to visit. Even though I don’t associate with or practice any particular religion, I like learning about people’s beliefs and can respect their dedication.
Another really awesome adventure we had was during our food tour. I happened to book it the same night as the Chinese Ghost Parade, which apparently only happens once a year. Our tour guide said we were very lucky to see it. It was loud, and bright, and there were men with giant poles stabbed through their cheeks! Yikes! The food on the tour was all very delicious, except the durian. It tasted kind of like garlic…
I think this picture is so funny.
