Hey y’all! 

I hope y’all had a great VD! I know I did! VD is always a special time of year for me because I get to eat a bunch of candy and get cool gifts. It’s like Halloween and Christmas in one! This year I got flowers and a monogramed knife from Seki. The knife is so sharp that I’ve almost cut my finger off THREE TIMES. what did you get for VD?

Kia Ora and hello everyone!

Do you remember the snow day we had a couple of months ago? I was thinking about it recently and how fun it was!

It never snows where I’m from in New Zealand, so imagine my surprise when I open my curtains to snow all over the ground! It would have made perfect weather for staying home and sleeping all day, but I had to go out with my friend to Nagoya.

We both managed to battle through the snow, and luckily we still found time to relax in the warmth and drink coffee.

Do you like the snow?

今日はひな祭りですね！

もうひな菓子はたべましたか。

私はひなあられのなかのマヨネーズ味が大好きです。

a sweet tooth が甘党という意味なのを知りましたが反対の辛党は英語で

love to drink（甘いものには関心が無くお酒が好きのような意味）になってしまうと知り

残念に思いました。

甘いものも好きだけど、どちらかというと塩辛いものが少し好きかな、みたいな感じを

簡単に言い表せる言葉が欲しかったです。

そしてtoothには味の好み、嗜好という意味がある、歯の意味だけではないのですね。

バレンタインのチョコレート、ひな祭りの桜餅やひなあられ、菱餅、雛ケーキなど

たくさん食べたあとは、しっかり歯磨きしましょう～

昨日雪が降ったけど、春よ来い！

Exciting news! My mom, who lives far away in the United States, is coming to visit Japan this month. We don’t see her a lot, so we’re really happy about it. My kids are especially thrilled to spend time with her. We have lots of fun things planned, like playing games, telling stories, and making yummy snacks together. Grandmas are like super special friends, and my kids can’t wait to show her all the cool things they can do. We’re looking forward to watching movies together and exploring new places. It’s going to be a really happy time with lots of love and laughter!
