Hey y’all! 

 So in San Antonio right now we are celebrating Fiesta! Fiesta is the Spanish translation for party, and this two week long celebration takes over the entire city. Fiesta began in 1891 as a one-parade event as a way to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. To this day, Fiesta has grown into a celebration of San Antonio’s rich and diverse cultures, and brings in about 340 million dollars or 38,073,200,000 Yen every year. Funds raised by the events provide services to San Antonio citizens throughout the year. This is also a festival for children of all ages and was a huge part of my upbringing.
