Hey y’all!

   Happy Reiwa! Over Golden Week, Ryan, Luis, Jeramine and I went to Tarui and Godo to see children’s Kabuki and the fire festival. I went to both festivals last year, so I was really happy to be back and enjoying them all over again. In Tarui, it’s so funny to see all of these young kids dressed in full Kabuki attire, and speaking in really old Japanese. It’s also really interesting to see the young men pick up the shrine and move it in front of the shrine. In Godo…well…. words can’t describe how cool and strange that festival is. It’s basically a lot of men, young and old, running around with fire. I just love the atmosphere and highly recommend everyone going to Godo next year to see the chaos for themselves.
