I hope everyone is enjoying the Golden Week holiday! I am relaxing and catching up on a lot of reading. Since it’s been a little chilly and rainy this week (and not very Spring-y) it’s nice to just stay inside and drink something hot, but I hope to hear a lot of interesting travel stories when we have classes again!

Today is the beginning of the new era, and I’m really happy that I could be in Japan during this time. I am interested in politics and history, and the concept of a “new era” is very hopeful and positive!
