Hey y’all!

  So today I wanted to share a little bit of my childhood with all of you. Growing up my Japanese grandmother, Toshiko, use to read me the story of Momotaro or the Peach Boy. It used to be one of my favorite bedtime stories, and I hold the story very close to my heart. Over this past September break, I took a trip to Okayama in Okayama Prefecture with my friends to see the sights. Little did I know that this was where the story originated. I was so overwhelmed with excitement that I immediately called my family to tell them of my discovery. Walking through the town and seeing the connection to Momotaro made so happy, and it brought back a lot of wonderful childhood memories.
