A Day Trip to Mitake and Gero

Hey y’all!
A few weeks ago, Jeramine and I volunteered with a group of tour guides that wanted to better their English abilities. These tour guides were especially cool because they were training to specialize in all things Gifu. For this specific trip though, they took us to Mitake and Gero. Mitake is famous for its beautiful vegetable sushi that look like flowers, and being a post station on the Nakasendō highway. Gero is most famous for its onsen, but it is also known for its sake brewery. During our trip, we got to make vegetable sushi, traditional Japanese sweets, and taste all kinds of sake. All while our tour guides shared their knowledge of each town. It was truly an amazing experience! I hope we get the opportunity to do it again soon.
See y’all in class!
