The temperature has been up and down in recent weeks, but it’s gradually getting cooler after another hot, humid summer in central Japan. Fall is my favorite season for a lot of reasons – Halloween, Thanksgiving, the leaves changing colors – but maybe my favorite thing is just how comfortable it is. In my hometown, summers are very hot and winters are VERY cold. But cool weather in fall was always perfect.
Summer clothes are fun, and I don’t mind wearing winter clothes, but I always have trouble finding a coat that is both comfortable and warm enough. In fall, though, I get to dig my hoodies out of summer storage. We often refer to fall weather as “hoodie weather”, because it’s the time of year when going out in a hoodie will keep you warm enough. Hoodies are comfortable and they look good and hoodie shopping is always fun. I am glad that hoodie weather is here, and I will enjoy it until winter coat weather comes.
