Held in April, the Shofuso Cherry Blossom Festival of Philadelphia is the main highlight of this vibrant season. The celebration takes place at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden within the gorgeous Fairmount Park and provides lots of fun activities to enjoy aside from cherry blossom viewing.
Pennsylvania’s ‘s famed cherry blossom festival is all about exploring Japanese culture. The fun-packed program features various cultural events, including music performances, workshops, concerts, crafts, demonstrations, and lectures.
Fairmount Park is actually the top spot for relishing cherry blossoms in Philly. This great oasis of 2,052 ac (830 ha) is known as Philly’s largest park, split into equally beautiful East Park and West Park by the Schuylkill River. Make sure to see the always lovely waterfronts when they are wrapped in the fragile pink and white elegance of blooming cherry trees.
