Hey y’all. Today I’d like to show you my favorite Brazilian food.

In Minokamo city, the Brazilian population is really high so I have a lot of Brazilian friends and former colleagues. They introduced me to their culture and I fell in love with their cuisine.

This is called costela de porco. It’s like pork rib steak and it’s really tender and delicious. I heard it’s listed in the top dishes of the world and I already know why! It’s so good. I hope you can try it one day.

In Takayama with my parents we followed a walking tour and saw many shrines and temples in the city. It was a beautiful day and that made for a very enjoyable walk. It was cool to see lots of representations of Japanese culture. We also went to a museum and learned about the Takayama festival. I’d like to go to that and experience it!

今日４月１９日は飼育の日

思い出せば小学校の頃、みんなでウサギを飼っていて

餌をあげたり、掃除をしたり、遊んでもらったり！？する当番を順番で

やっていました。クローバーをうさぎのために取りに行って可愛がって

いたのにある日朝登校すると野犬に・・・

私たちはいっぱい泣きました。お墓を作って文集を書き命の大切さを

学びました。

動物は人間にいろんなことを教えてくれます。動物と過ごす時間も

大切にしたいですね。

学校では、他に猿も飼っていて、逃げ出したサルを理科の先生が捕まえるという

事件もあり今となってはとても思い出深いです。

みんなの学校には、どんな動物がいますか？？？

可愛がってあげてくださいね。

よく授業をする中で、好きな動物について会話の練習をすることがあります。

多くの子たちがよくしてしまう間違った言い方があるので紹介します。

「私は犬が好きです。」と言いたいときに”I like dog.”と言いがちですが、実は間違っています。

好きな動物を言いたいときは、動物の名詞を複数形にして言いましょう。”I like dogs.”が正しいです。

単数で表現してしまうと、その動物を「食べる目的で好き」というニュアンスになり、「その動物のお肉が好き」と解釈されてしまいます。

中学生の子でも、意外に間違えてしまうことが多いので、覚えておきましょう。

Hey y’all!

After 4 years, Jeramine finally returned to Japan! We were great friends before he came to Hello!s, but we became even better friends after his time here. I did get to catch up with him when I went home in August of last year, but it was still so good to see him. We even stopped in to Suito to see Yusuke and Wataru. I wish he could have stayed in town a bit longer that 24 hours, but it was still so good to see him nonetheless.
