This month has been filled with some delicious food! My fave has to be the tan that I got to eat for my birthday dinner. UGH! So good! I’m looking forward to all of the great summer eats coming my way in summer!

Kia ora and hello everyone!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Hamamatsu Flower Park and looked at a variety of flowers! Since this was in early-Spring, there weren’t many flowers blooming, but the hyacinths were beautiful!
Hyacinths typically bloom in early-Spring, and come in a variety of colors such as pink, purple, white, yellow and blue! I love them!

5月23日はカメの日ということで

世界カメの日と2000年に制定されたそうです。

カメについて知り、敬意を払い、カメの生存と繁栄のための人間の手助けをする日

カメを飼ったことがあるのですが、その足の速さに驚きました。

廊下のタイルの上をすべるように走ったのです。

甲羅を洗ってつい目を離したすきにササササっと

危うく部屋を飛び出し、エレベーターに乗ってしまうところでした。

この時、カメは遅いは間違いだと思いました。

カメの種類は200種類もあり、中には頭や手足をしまうことができないものもあるとか

そして日本語と違い英語では、陸に住むカメはtortoise

海に住むカメはturtleと区別します

定番のインドネシア料理ですよね。でもお店によって味が違う。チャーハンみたいだから日本人にも食べやすいですよね。安いお店は１００円くらいと聞いていましたが、４００～５００円でした。それでも、クルプックと呼ばれる揚げせんべい。サテ＝串や目玉焼き、カレー味のごはんもとてもおいしかったです！

わけのわからないアジア人が突然山青くの裸族の村に来て泊めてもらいました。翌日村を離れる前に、持参してきたキャンプ用のランタンをあげました。飛び上がって喜ぶ村の人たち。村長の奥さんが帰り際、お手製のネックレスをくれました。
