Hey everyone! Now that September is here, the weather is cooling down. There is a lot of rain since it’s the beginning of typhoon season. All the summer decorations and goods are all replaced with fall and halloween.
It’s not a bad thing! In fact I really love fall and all the colors. And don’t get me started on how much I love halloween! I love scary movies and spooky costumes! I think it’s a lot of fun to see how Japan enjoys this time of the year.
There are things I love about summer. Like I will miss the summer flowers and going to the river with my friends. But there are things I didn’t love about summer such as the extreme heat, and the bugs.
I’m excited for the new adventures I’ll go on during fall and seeing all the beautiful trees! I’ll be sure to share them with you here!

Hey y’all!
A summer in Japan isn’t complete without a trip the lake, so one day I took a trip to Omi-Maiko to get some sun and swim. This was such a long trip… In total it was probably about 5 hours on local train but it was so worth it! The water was absolutely beautiful and clear, and there weren’t a lot of people there so I had a lot of space to myself. With that said, it was brutally hot that day and I came out looking like a red tomato…
Anyways, I hope you guys had a fun summer and are glad to be back in class.
See y’all in class!

Hello everyone! Hope you are all staying safe with the crazy storms happening this weekend. You know, Typhoons are still pretty new to me, even though I lived in South Korea for a time, which gets typhoons as well. I lived on eastern side of the country so typhoons weren’t as big of a problem as they are here. I’ve been in awe of the storms I’ve seen in the past month or two. In Texas, we have weather that changes pretty quickly, but Ogaki weather seems to change faster!
Enjoy this picture I took from my side window as I watched a thunderstorm roll in! And remember to stay safe and act smart when it comes to weather!

Since I have worked at Hello!s, I have always paid attention to this hamster doll that lives at Furokita. I think it’s a cute color and shape but it’s also the perfect size for many ball games, so it ends up being used in pretty scary ways by elementary and junior high school students…
Also, people like pushing its nose into its body so that it looks like a donut… so now its face is forever a little strange. Poor hamster. If you see this hamster, please be kind! 😹
