Sam and I recently went on a journey to see the rose garden in Goro! They were so beautiful! We didn’t mean to go all the way there from Ogaki in the beginning. We first wanted to go on a bike ride, but we kept getting lost, and eventually ended up in Goro! So we decided to go to the rose garden!

Not only were the roses beautiful to look at, but it smelled amazing! I love the way roses smell, it reminds me of my mother! Sam and I had such a great time looking at all the roses! We were amazed how big they were too! I’m so happy we stumbled across this beautiful scene!

  Over the weekend I took some time to get out of the house. On Saturday, Nikki and I were out on a bike ride when we saw an odd looking building from afar. Curious to see what it was, we navigated our way to the building. It ended up being some kind of temple! Well, we think it was. We really don’t know since we can’t read kanji… If y’all know what it is, please tell us! 

 On Monday, Mariam and I headed to Nagoya for some summer shopping! It was so nice to be back in the city after two looooong months in the country. Along the way we stopped for a nice treat in the Takashimaya department store. We both got a pistachio macaron with pistachio ice cream in the middle. IT WAS HEAVENLY!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since most of us have been able to go out and eat because of the Corona Pandemic, but some places have started to open back up, which is a good sign! Mariam and I went to a Korean BBQ restaurant to celebrate going back to regular class and it was a great choice. Of course, you are required to use hand sanitizer when you walk in, and the restaurant seats you in a way that honors social distancing. We had samgyupsal, or pork belly, with a lot of kimchi and melted cheese, which was a new addition for me! If you haven’t tried Korean BBQ, I definitely recommend it, but make sure you are still being safe out there!
