Hello guys!
This is my last blog post, and it’s a little bitter-sweet. I’ve had an amazing time here in Japan and met a lot of amazing people. While here I’ve managed to do a lot of different things and try a lot of delicious foods! I’m glad I had the opportunity to come here and met you all.
Some of my favorite moments while being here in Japan would be going to Isse Jengyu for new years! which was a first for me and an exciting and unforgettable time. I also liked trying new foods with some of the new friends I made while being here.

Spring is coming, which means it has been about 1 year since I moved to Japan! I came early last April right before the start of the new school year. I remember the weather was about the same as it is now — windy but not that cold. I’ve started to notice more flowering trees around town and many students have stopped wearing jackets (I still need to wear a coat everyday, so I can’t quite understand this!), so I can really imagine that it’s Spring already!
Since I moved here I’ve become much more comfortable with living in a small town and enjoying simple daily life. Ogaki is a nice place to live if you want to relax and have a slower lifestyle. Of course it’s also been exciting to learn about Japan and meet so many students, so I am happy to be celebrating a one-year anniversary here soon!

Hey ya’ll! So…for the last, I don’t know 7 months or so, Kohei and myself go to Gifu Tanmen every single Friday after work to eat and enjoy this feast!
Gifu Tanmen ( to my knowledge ) is only in Gifu Prefecture, and some parts of Aichi. Gifu Tanmen is the best, they really know how to make a tasty broth, full of vegetables and garlic. I love garlic. Usually, Kohei and I get about 2-3 extra Kaedama. If you don’t know what a Kaedama is, it’s essentially a noodle refill for about 150円! It’s like you have a completely new ramen, for the low low price of 150!
