新年度が始まり、少しずつ学校生活にもなれてきた頃かと思います。

まだ少し不安を抱えている人も多いと思いますが、すぐに慣れて楽しく過ごせるようになることを願っています。

今回は、私が最近感じた日本と海外での支払い方法の違いについて話します。

さまざまな種類の電子マネー決済が増えているのはテレビCMなどを見ると明らかですよね。私もよく電子マネー決済をするのですがとても便利で、現金を持たなくてもいいようになったらと感じています。しかし、実際に日本でクレジットカード決済や電子マネー決済する人は２０％程度だそうで、中国では９０％以上の人が電子マネー決済をするそうです。日本ではまだ電子マネー決済に対応していないお店が多いように感じるとともに、日本の国民性なのか、現金主義な部分が多いようです。

私が小学生や中学生の時には電子マネーがまだ普及していなかったので現金が当たり前でしたが今の学生のみなさんはどうしているのかとても気になりました。

どちらにせよ、計画的にお金を使えるようにしなければなりませんね。

I decided to go sightseeing in Fukui! First I went to Tojinbo and Whale Island! The weather was rainy and extremely windy, but the temperature was actually a little warm. The following day I went to Eiheiji, which was one of the most beautiful temples I have ever been to! That’s saying something since I’ve been to so many over the course of 4 years. After Eiheiji, I went to the Asakura Clan Historic Ruins and walked around. Overall, it was a short but fun trip!

日本ではプロ野球が開幕して約3週間、

アメリカではMLBが開幕して約1週間です。

普段は野球よりサッカーを見ることの多い僕ですが、

何故か今年は野球のニュースもよく見るようになりました。

日本でも活躍する選手もいれば、海外で活躍する日本人選手もいます。

やはりどこにいても、日本人が活躍する姿が見られると嬉しいなと思います。

Do you know what causes an earthquake? Well today that is just what we are going to talk about.

To understand what causes and earthquake, first we must understand that the Earth`s crust and mantle are made up of large, thin, plates that move on the outer surface of the Earth.
The tectonic plates are always slowly moving, but sometimes, due to friction, they get stuck at their edges. When the pressure on the edges becomes stronger than the friction, these plates slip.

This slipping is what we call an earthquake.The slip releases energy in waves that travel through the earth’s crust and cause the shaking that we feel. Often this slipping occurs at a place that we call a fault, the place where two or more plates touch.

One of the most well know faults is in the state of California, in the U.S.A.
California is where two plates – the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate meet.
The Pacific Plate is made up of most of the Pacific Ocean floor and the California Coast line. The North American Plate is made up of most the North American Continent and parts of the Atlantic Ocean floor.The area along which these two plates touch is called the San Andreas Fault.

The San Andreas Fault is more than 650 miles long and extends to depths of at least 10 miles.The San Andreas Fault produces more than 10,000 earthquakes per year!

紅茶のパックをもらうことがあり、考え込んだ一瞬。

ティーバッグなのかティーパックなのか？？

英語でもTea Bag　Or  Tea Pack？？

調べてみたら正しくはTea Ｂagでしたが、どちらも使っている人を

見るので意味が通じればＯＫでしょうか。

何気なく使っている言葉でこんな違いは他にもたくさんありそうですね。

時間がある時に調べてすっきりした春の午後でした。

はちみつ入りの紅茶や、エルダーフラワーというハーブティーのおいしさに
