Hey y’all! 

 So one of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go swimming in Ibi river. The water is always so cold and refreshing. The best part though… IT’S FREE. It doesn’t matter what time of day or year, going to the river is always free and (almost) always open. Sometimes it’s the little things in life that truly make you happy. Going to the river with friends in the summer is one of those little things. However, the most important thing about going to the river is that barely anyone goes. It’s a great way to have a good time and social distance! 

 Anyways, I hope all of y’all are staying safe and are enjoying the small bit of freedom we are getting from theses difficult times. 

Hello everyone! As you all know, traveling isn’t really possible because of Corona-virus right now. So, this weekend, I wanted to give myself the goal to have an energizing weekend without going anywhere new. I’ve been seeing my friends from America posting on SNS about how excited they were that ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ was back on Netflix. This also made me excited because it is one of my favorite series. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it because it is on Netflix Japan too! As soon as I started episode one, I was reminded about how great this show is. The story, the characters, the action: EXCELLENT!! In between re-watching this show, I decided to buy a new video game as well. I bought ‘Stardew Valley’, a game that is kind of like Animal Crossing, except your neighbors aren’t animals, but people. I had no idea how much fun I would have with this game! One of the hardest parts is giving your neighbors the right gifts that they will enjoy. Who knew some people don’t like flowers or fresh fruit! With both ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and ‘Stardew Valley’, I succeeded at my goal of having a very chill and energizing weekend, clay face masks included. 

みなさんこんにちは。

蒸し暑い日が多くなり、だんだんと夏を感じる日が増えてきました。

例年ならあと1か月ほどで子どもたちも夏休みになりますが、今年は様子が違うようです。

今年はほとんどの学校で夏休みが短縮され、1週間から2週間ほどの夏休みになるようです。

いつもなら1か月以上ある1年でも一番長いお休みが短くなってしまい、子どもたち、そして

保護者の皆さんもいつもと違った夏を過ごすことになり、大変なこともあると思いますが、

短いからこそ充実した時間を過ごせるよう工夫をしながら過ごしてもらいたいと思います。

ハローズでも夏休みがありますがその前に1学期の復習テストがあります。しっかり取り組んで

1学期の学習の成果を確認しましょう！

２月頃から始まった外出自粛ムードの影響で、いろいろな催し物が中止・延期になりました。

ウイルスとの闘いはこれからも続きますが、今月から少しずつ、イベント等が再開されるようですね(*´ω`*)

体調管理に気をつけつつ、皆さんが毎日を楽しく過ごせるよう願っています！

I am looking forward to the end of the rainy weather!! I like to ride my bike and take walks on the weekends but I hate the feeling of having wet clothes or worse… wet feet!!

It should hopefully stop raining soon and then it will really be summer. This summer if it becomes possible to travel, I want to go to many new places in Japan. Social distancing has meant no traveling, so it has been a long time since I went anywhere. I hope everyone can travel safely this summer!
