4月5日は清明の日といわれますが、今年は4月4日になるそうです。

春先の清らかで生き生きとした様子が字からも伝わってきますが、

４と５の語呂合わせから、よごそうデー（服などの汚れを気にせず、

何かに夢中になって思いっきり楽しもう！）と洗剤メーカーが記念日を

制定。楽しそうですね！

そしてなんと今日はオープンカーの日でもあるようです！

ちなみにオープンカーは英語でconvertible car /roadsterです。

1年ぶりにアメリカを訪れました。南部に行くとどうしても外せないのが、ワッフルハウス。ワッフルが売っているのではもちろんですが、食パンではさんだサンドイッチがら、ハンバーガー、トースト、ステーキまであります。朝食の店かなと思ったら、24時間営業です。この日も朝5時に訪れました。ダブルハッシブラウン（ハッシュドポテト）にチリコンカンをかけて、卵はポーチドエッグ（落とし卵）、トーストを食べました！

新年度が始まりました。

新しいクラスメイトや教室になり、新鮮な毎日が始まりましたね。

まだ、学校が始まっていないところの方が多いと思いますが、ワクワクやドキドキを感じている人も多いはずです。

今年一年は、何事にも恐れず色々なことに挑戦し、新たな発見をたくさん見つけてほしいです。

自分を信じて頑張ろう。

Today is officially Easter Sunday! Easter was always a fun holiday for me and my brothers back in New Zealand as it meant we got to eat chocolate! Traditionally, we’d have the day off of school on Easter Friday, and then have to wait until Sunday to get chocolate, and we’d also have the Monday off too!

Although it can have a different meaning for everyone, Easter meant being together as a family and eating delicious food! Aside from chocolate, hot cross buns are also common, and many families would have chocolate egg hunts where the parents will hide the chocolate and the kids will try to find them – like a delicious hide and seek!
