誰かを応援する時、なんと声をかけますか。

「頑張れ」や「負けるな」など様々ですが、「ファイト」と言うこともあるかと思います。

しかし、この「ファイト」は和製英語であり、英語で応援する表現として使いません。

fightは「戦う」「喧嘩する」「対戦する」などの意味なのです。

英語で誰かを応援する場合によく使われる表現に、「Come on.」や「Let’s go.」と言うことが多いですね。

興味がある方は、英語圏では通じない和製英語を調べてみると面白いかと思います。

I know it’s not even October yet but I DON’T CARE! I want Halloween decorations NOW! So I made this wreath and ordered this pumpkin balloon thing off of Amazon. I’m still wanting to buy more though!

Hey everyone!

The other week, I went up to Tokyo with my best-friend Kana for a couple of days!

I haven’t been to Tokyo since January 2019, so I was super excited to get to go back and look around!

On my first day, I went to Team Labs and stayed at the Tokyo Station Hotel. I ate ramen at Tokyo station for dinner because I was so tired!

I also went to Harajuku where I ate amazing Strawberry candy! Afterwards, I went to Meiji Jingu and it was so beautiful, but so hot!

The next day, I went to Art Aquarium Museum in Mitsukoshi Ginza Terrace and it was so beautiful! There were so many cool light displays – I loved it!

I hope to return to Tokyo again soon!

１０月といえば…秋、ハロウィン、紅葉（まだ早い？）、いちじく、りんご、ハロウィン、スポーツの日、でしょうか。何をしていても、ハロウィン要素がぐいぐい入って来ますよね。直子先生と一緒に「９月上旬はまだ早いかな」と話して飾っていなかったジャコランタンやかわいいゴーストたちも、すこしずつ増えてきました。

大垣本部・スイトテラス校になってから初めてのハロウィン・パーティー（小学生以下対象）は、１０月２９日（日）に予定しています。自分の好きなコスチュームでぜひ参加してくださいね！
