Hey y’all! 

As all of y’all know, I am finally going home to Texas. After almost three years, I am finally getting the chance to see my family. I’m actually kind of nervous about going home because I haven’t been around a lot of Americans in such a long time. I might even experience culture shock! Regardless, I am so excited to see everyone and eat Mexican food!  I have no idea what exactly I’m going to do over the course of a few weeks, but I know that I’m just lucky that I am getting this time with my family and friends. 

I’m sorry that I won’t be here for a few weeks, but thank you so much for understanding. I can’t wait to come back and tell y’all all about my trip!

So last night, I craved for Korean food. It was a 30-minute drive from Mizuho but I decided to go anyway.

I got some bibimbap and toppogi. The toppogi was really spicy but it was good. It was worth the long drive. I cannot wait to go back and try their samgyeopsal. It’s like the Korean version of yakiniku.

小学１年生、2年生のクラスでは先週レッスン内でリビュークイズ(復習テスト)を受けてもらいました。

小学3年生から６年生は明日からの週で同様にリビュークイズを受けてもらいます。

1学期に学んできたことの復習をしっかりとして取り組んでくださいね。

コロナで水泳の授業が無い所もあるみたいですが、梅雨が明けてプールの季節がやってきました。

小さいころずっと水泳を習っており、スポーツの話題について話す時に水泳をやっていた話をよくするのですが、

留学で同じ話題になり得意な泳ぎ方を聞かれた時にクロールを英語でなんというか知らなくて、そのまま英語っぽく「クロール」って言ったら何か通じた思い出があります。

後から調べたら英語でクロールはfront crawlと言うみたいで、文脈からcrawlだけでも通じたみたいです。

crawlには他に「這いずる」という意味や、赤ちゃんがやるハイハイのことを指します。

ちなみに、自由形はそのまま「freestyle」と言います、これからプールに行くことも多くなると思うので、

水泳を習っている人や、プールに行ったことを話すときに是非使ってみてください。
